My Taylor Swift concert story (8/9/11)

First off, this is late. I’m not good at writing stuff that happened… haha. But idk I just feel like it right now.

Anyways, the night before I painted my poster for Taylor because I wanted to show my support and get into a T-Party… Yeah. My mom did the lettering and I was embarrassed because I didn’t know what I wanted to write. So I asked for “Long Live.” The next day, I added some glow-the-dark paint. LOL. And later taping some glow sticks on.

So my Mom and I were heading to the Allstate Arena, which isn’t far from where I live. I brought my Speak Now CD just in case I saw her and wanted her to sign it. My mom said to put it in so we can listen on the way there. My mom has never really heard Taylor Swift so I was on edge really when we were in the car. She was freaking out about the traffic so she wasn’t listening. We got to the Allstate around 2-3PM and we decided to eat at the Chipolte nearby. Then after that, we went to Target and browsed around. Allstate security told as we left though that they were going to tow anyone in the parking lot. Which scared my mom and we had to park in the Allstate and pay like $20 -_- So that was setting the damper on things.

My mom and I walked around the entrances. Basically a bunch of Swifties were going nuts around each entrance. One mother had a Mrs. Teapot costume on with a sign saying that her daughters wanted to get into a T-Party. My mom took a picture of me by some of the CoverGirl trucks:

Then I was going to buy a t-shirt outside before my mom texted me saying they are letting people in. So I ran toward our entrance and got my ticket scanned. The first thing I did was buy a t-shirt before it got too crowded. I didn’t know what I wanted but I saw the Haunted shirt and I knew I wanted that one. So then I took another picture by a CoverGirl thing.

Yeah I’m really awkward at this point. LOL. So I got to my section which is 113, Row R. It’s way in the back of the second part of the arena.

So I left to walk around and explore… and for some reason I went into the bathroom with my poster and changed my shirt… idk why but I wanted to. I didn’t know that there was a CoverGirl station and I was sad. I did my own makeup (which is about 80% CoverGirl anyways.) but yeah… there was nothing interesting. This lady though was giving out free NatureLuxe Lip balm and I got a tube. I had a tube already on but I tried it on when I took a pic of myself later.

Oh and then I noticed the tree and I’m like “!!!!!!!!!!”

and then my mom wanted to send my pic to that screen thing so…

Now that poster behind me… In the Allstate, there is a section for the handicap/wheelchair. There was a boy in one of those motor chairs and he had this poster saying “Taylor Swift is my girlfriend.” My mom and I gave him and his family some glow sticks.

So then the opening acts began. It took forever and I didn’t like NEEDTOBREATHE or Hunter Hayes. Sorry it was a bit much for me. Basically… SO MUCH WAITING.

Oh yes and then dude started the “wave” before the concert and I found it funny because it was an older man. Then the lights when completely off and there was SO MUCH SCREAMING. I mean you know how something becomes so loud that it almost starts to muffle in your ear? That’s what it was like. My mom is 54 and has been to A LOT of concerts. She was shocked by this crowd. Then the intro began and I was like “!!!!”

I was like “…she is really fucking here”

Really she was huge from where I was sitting. I mean she wasn’t a little dot but she wasn’t a big dot either XD

I’m not going to go through each part of the concert because it was all amazing but just some specific parts and pics/video I took. At some point I stood up on my chair throughout the whole concert. XDDDD
